Suggest Treatment For Constipation After Emergency Small Bowel Resection

I has an emergency small bowel resection due to gangrene caused by adhesions 12 weeks ago for the 1st 3 weeks had normal bowel movements since then things have gone to slow transit constipation prior to surgery I had this problem and have to use picolax I had a X-ray at 4 weeks and one 2 weeks ago which showed dilated loops in small bowel but no obvious obstruction I have a lot discomfort and pain and get very bloated and feel nausea a lot if the time I am waiting a hospital appointment as was discharged.

hi dear, I have gone through your question and I understand your concern.
Adhesions from previous abdominal surgery in post surgical period is one of the important causes of the above symptoms which you are addressing. since you have undergone surgical procedure it will be best that your Consulting surgeon do complete examination for asserting the appropriate cause for underlying condition. Though I would recommend you not to worry about the issue as most SBO RESECTION surgeries have good prognosis.
