Suggest Treatment For Complex Torn Rotator Cuff

I have a complex torn rotator cuff in addition to what appears to be a frayed deltoid muscle. The pain is intense and severe. I also have another partial tear in another tendon not sure which one. When I lay down at night the pain is intensified. I sit up in a chair to ease the pain. I also have cervical stenosis and other issues with my neck. I m wondering if this is contributing to my pain when I lay down. My right clavicle protrudes at the end at least an inch. It s clearly not normal. I m scheduled to see an orthopedic surgeon, would this be a one day surgery?? Thanks, Linda

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

I have studied your case.
If MRI shows severe impingement or rotator cuff tear then arthroscopic shaving and repair will help.Yes this can be day care surgery.

Medication like tendocare and analgesic will reduce pain; you can take them consulting your treating doctor.
You may consult physiotherapist for further guidance. He may start TENS, or ultrasound which is helpful in your case.
Strengthening exercises after surgery will help in early recovery.
You may need to take rest for early healing.

Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.

Wishing you good health.

Take care
