Hi
Thanks for posting on HCM
Colic in babies is common and may not necessarily need special treatment.Even though cause remains unclear, possible causes may include : allergies,
lactose intolerance, changes in the normal bacteria found in the digestive system, a digestive system that hasn't fully developed, anxious parents, and differences in the way a baby is fed or comforted. An idea of the baby's nutrition would have been very helpful.
It a condition that may not need special tests to diagnose.I will suggest you try the following:
-Gas-relief medication like simethicone
-Probiotics.
-An anti-spamodic like debridat may also help if painful digestive movements.
-Hold your baby as upright as possible during feedings
If these measures do not help, you consider: changing your diet if breas-feeding or changing the baby's formula.A
pediatrician may help you with this.
Hope my answer will help you
Best regards
