Suggest Treatment For Cold And Sneezing
Hi Dr, I am. 65 yrs old man facing the problem of runny nose, sneezing and little bit asthma. For this, I am prescribed singulair. After using it, asthma is controlled to some extent. But other problems of allergy - runny nose, sneezing are not controlled. Would you please support me by providing suggestions. B. Subedi

You are having running nose, sneezing, and asthma i.e. breathlessness ( mild degree) .
You are taking singulair i.e montelukast, most potent antihistamine .
With this drug your asthma is under control .
When such case visit I prescribe montelukast+ bambuterol combination , as this act as an antihistamine as well bronchodilator .
In your case running nose, sneezing may be due to allergy as well bronchoconstriction , so this combination will act as dual purpose.
Since this is a prescription drug ,so please consult your doctor .
However, bambuterol may cause fine tremors ,but need not to worry , these will remain only for first 4-5 days .
Hot coffee and steam inhalation will also provide relief.
Avoid , dust , mite, mold , pollen , fumes , sprays pests ,as these are predisposing factors for allergy and asthma.
