Urologist 's  Response
Hello and welcome to HCM.
Well, your concern is understandable.
As an Urologist, i'm wondering if the catheter was placed for an Urodynamic test, or was some treatment done through that. It's not clear from your question.
If urine culture test has been done and there's no infection, a cystoscopy must be done, to see the inside of the bladder, before planning treatment.
You're welcome to contact me by name, for any other doubts.
Wish you a speedy recovery.
