Suggest Treatment For Chronic Mouth Ulcers

Sir, I am writing for my father, he is 65 years old.Weight is 68 kg. He is suffering from chronic mouth ulcers from his young age onwards. Now the condition is very serious.He has atleast 10 ulcers appearing twise in a month.Ulcers start from lower phsrinx to inside of lips.The medication he had undergone are just vitamins and bowel lubricants. He is not diabetic or cardiac patient. His general health is ok.I think he need to undergo good antibiotic treatment. Please help and prescribe appropriate antibiotic

hi, from the history i gather that these are just aphthous ulcerations. No antibiotics, as they will worsen the ulcers. Local application of steroids, mouth ulcer gels and pre-probiotics for few days will heal those ulcers. For avoiding the recurrence, kindly get his blood work done with Serum Iron Studies and Vit B12 study. I suggest regular use of Bowel sofners, Iron supplements and Anti-acid tab daily to avoid repeated ulcerations.
