Suggest Treatment For Chronic Dry Cough And Bronchiectasis

Good evening: I know most ancillary exams are not diagnostic by themselves. I Ve had a chronic cough for over a yr (dry when on steroids). Three CT scans (first clear, last two show .5 cm nodule in left lower lung with bronchiectosis). All other labs, bronchoscopy normal or negative for fungus etc. Besides a sweat test, should I consider a PET scan (46 y/o female non smoker)?

I would like to have more info as in what is the cause for you to be on steroids. The nodule needs serial ct to observe . If in these serial ct scans the nodule is static in size then there is no need to worry. But if it is otherwise then it requires work up. Your cough may be related to the bronchiectasis though I am not sure of the extent of bronchiectasis. You will benefit from inhaled bronchodilator with steroid combinations.
