Suggest Treatment For Chronic Digestive Issue With Difficulty In Swallowing

I have been dealing with a chronic digestive issue for a few years now. It feels as though gas gets trapped right where the stomach and esophagus meet. At times I have trouble swallowing my food and have to wait before taking another bite until I feel the food empty into my stomach. I have had 2 endoscopies in the past 5 years with the most recent last year where they dilated my esophagus. This helped a little but the symptoms are beginning to return. It is very painful and feels as though I am having a heart attack until I am able to expel gas. I do not belch very often.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have chronic digestive issue with difficulty in swallowing. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like dysphagia , GERD , esophageal tumors or osinophilic esophagitis. I would suggest you to consult gastroenterologist for proper examination. Doctor may order ultrasound , endoscopy of upper digestive system . Doctor may prescribe H2 blockers , proton pump inhibitors along with anti inflammatory . Doctor may recommend surgical correction in some cases . For now eat light and non spicy , take antacid after every meal and keep your head elevated while sleeping .
