Suggest Treatment For Chronic Back Pain While On Vicodin

Hi....My husband has chronic back pain and he has taken Vicodin for many years. Now his pain doc switched him to oral morphine and he has been on it for about 4 days. Today he slept 12 hours straight and has not urinated. He is confused, unsteady and my daughter and I had to help him out of the bathroom to his chair. He had a similar reaction about 6 yrs ago when he was taking avinza. Are the two meds similar? YYYY@YYYY

Yes, they are a bit stronger of a narcotic than vicodin (which typically is in the lower dose category). These medicines need some adjustment in people.
