Suggest Treatment For Chest Pain And Acid Reflux

My chest has been hurting about 2 weeks, at first I thought it was reflux or similar, but it s getting worse. I had an ekg which read normal and I have been popping antacids like candy. I listened to my chest with my stethoscope for about 10 minutes and there were at least 6 pauses in my heart rhythm in that span. Could this be pvc s or something else? I was also diagnosed about 20 years ago with mvp.

Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic.
I can understand your concern.
In my opinion, we should first rule out heart related diseases because you are having skipped beats, had MVP (mitral valve prolapse). So consult cardiologist and get done
1. 2d echo.
2. Holter monitoring (24 hour continuous monitoring of ecg).
If all these are normal then no need to worry for heart diseases.
Uncontrolled acid reflux can also cause chest pain.
So take proton pump inhibitors and prokinetic drugs. Avoid hot and spicy food. Avoid large meals, instead take frequent small meals. Avoid stress and tension.
Don't worry, you will be alright. But first rule out heart diseases.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
