Suggest Treatment For Chalazion On The Lower Lid Of Eye
hi, i was playing football earlier today when i felt the chazalion i have on my lower left lid begin to feel like jelly. It had begun to leak a white liquid, now i can see where it ruptured but i was just wondering what i should do about it as it has now resealed?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain Chalazion occurs when there is blocking of the oil gland present over the eyelid and it leads to formation of a lump that is painless.. But at times it can get infected and inflamed leading to redness, pain and pus discharge.. I would suggest you to consult an Ophthalmologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation is generally sufficient for diagnosis.. You can be advised to put antibiotic and steroid eye drops.. You should do warm compresses over it by soaking a wash cloth in warm water.. You can also be a gently massage the lump to ease in drainage and faster recovery.. In case if it does not resolve or shows improvement in 15 days surgical removal of the chalazion can be advised..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
