Suggest Treatment For Cerebral Palsy In A Child

Hi

My son is now 8 yrs from Nepal and has been suffering from CP since birth. We have been consulting neurophysician, ortho and physio on a regular basis. We have also kept him in a regular school (playgroup) though he cannot grip the pencil and he has no balance while standing and walking. Is there any way we can further enhance his treatment?

Hi, thanks for asking.
Its a good thing that you have put him in a normal school. I always advocate that.
In my opinion an occupational therapist will be able to help him to develop his balancing skills. Also he needs to develop his pre writing skills which will help him in writing.
I would suggest you use thick grips for him or the grips which are designed to support his two fingers and wrist.
I hope I have helped you.
Thank you.
