Hello I was diagnosed with a severe case of celiac a little over a year ago and still struggle, recently I have had a pretty severe sharp stomach pain in my left abdomen and it s not all the time but so e days get bad. I lost my doctor of 4 years because she moved and I am kind of at a loss any suggestions are appreciated
If you have already diagnosed with celiac disease then you must be knowing that you will have to take gluten free diet.
As this is actually a autoimmune disease where reaction to certain substance is seen in intestine leading to various complications.
Your severe stomach pain could be related to this celiac disease but it needs to be evaluated further.
You should undergo complete hemogram,ESR,blood electrolytes, ultrasound abdomen and if required then upper gastrointestinal endoscopy to detect or rule out any other gastric pathology.
You can continue your gluten free diet with some symptommatic medications like antacids (ranitidine or pantoprazole),antispasmodics with other supportive treatment.
You should visit physician first with all your previous medical documents and consult him.
