HI I JUST RECENTLY HAD A MRI DONE OF THE BRAIN THAT REVEAL THE PROBABILITY THAT REPRESENT MULTIPLE CAVERNOUS AGIOMAS AND I HAVENT SEEN MY NEURSURGEON YET BUT ON THE REPORT IT SAYS SOMETHING ABOUT IMAGING FAMILY MEMBERS WITH SUSCEPTIBILITY-WEIGHTED IMAGING WITH MRI SCAN IS SUGGESTED FOR FURTHER EVALUATION. DO PEOPLE WITH THIS CONDITION HAVE IT THE REST OF THEIR LIFE?
Hi Yes, the angiomas may last throughout the life if not corrected. In fact they become a potential source of morbidity by leading to bleeding in the brain. So do meet the neurosurgeon
This condition may also be hereditary or genetic based. Hence checking in family members is essential
Best of luck Dr Mittal
