Suggest Treatment For Cardio Myopathy With An Low Ejection Fraction
Hi. A friend of our business has had some kind of virus recently, an has been in and out of the hospital during the last couple of weeks. He went through a cardio cath today and the Cardiologist confirmed that the virus has caused a cardio myopathy with an ingestion fraction of 20. I guess the normal fraction should be 60 to 80. Is there anything that can be done, or what is the prognosis.
He should receive the stand treatment of heart failure, he should be under the control of cardiologist, who Wil prescribe all necessary medications, such as beta blockers, ACE inhibitors, etc. Now when his ejection fraction is only 20%, he have bad prognosis, but on treatment it may increase in 3-6 months, and the prognosis will be better
Take care
