Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern about your father having
kidney stones.
In right kidney, it is 4.8 mm, which seems a little bigger. Right kidney also appears dilated. But left kidney stone is 3.3 mm, which is small and size of the left kidney seems alright.
What you can try first is ask your father to drink citrus fruit juices and take Citralka syrup for a month. This will help to dissolve the stones at alkaline pH and will reduce the size. You need to get a scan done to see weather it has decreased in size, particularly the right kidney stone. Avoid eating tomatoes and non-vegetarian diet during this period.
If it is decreased in size of about 3.5 mm, then you can try 'flush technique' to push the stones out in urine.
If it has not decreased in size significantly and remains same or increased, then you need to get it removed by means of 'lithotripsy'. You need to
consult Urologist for appropriate management.
Hope the information provided would be useful.
All the best.
