Suggest Treatment For Burning Sensation In Upper Abdomen

I have a burning sensation on my right side under my rib cage. I stopped drinking Diet Pepsi thinking that was the cause, now it seems as though anything can trigger it. This has been going on about 2-3 weeks now. It isn t every day but seems to be increasing in frequency.

Hi thanks for contacting HCM .

Here mostly this burning sensation could be by stomatitis or ulcerative condition.

Take omeprazole for few days.

Meanwhile care taken regarding not to take Pepsi like drink , avoid excess spicy food , avoid smoking, avoid excess fatty food.

You could have acidity problem also that can lead burning sensation.

If you are developing abdominal pain then USG abdomen done for further work up.

Drink more water and avoid alcohol.

If along with pain you suffer from fever , muscle pain , vomitting then LFT done.
If needed widal test for typhoid also can be done .

So follow above measures first then if no improvement detailed investigation done.

Take care...
