Suggest Treatment For Burning Sensation During Urination And Brownish Semen

I am 50 years old. I have burning sensation while urinating. I had Ultra sound today. Ultra sound result sums up as Prostatomegaly (grade 1/2) post void residual urine 120 cc. I notice brownish colour semen. Do I need immediate intervension. I feel tire very easily and have low febrile condition almost all day.

Hello and thank you for asking HCM.

I have read your symptoms and i understand your symptoms.

-Post void urine residue of 120 cc is not normal.
-your enlarged prostate is affectin the ability of your bladder to get empty while urinating
-burning while urinating
-brown color seamen

To be able to say if you need a surgey as soon as possible,you need to do some other tests.

-First you need to do an urine test to check up for infection. With the symptoms that you prescribe,it seems that you might have prostatitis. If so, you need to treat the infection first and than do the surgery.
-PSA (blood test for enlarged prostates)
-digital rectal exam for the prostate
-ultrasound of your prostate

You need to check up with a urologist. he will be able to tell you if you need to have surgery ASAP or not and what other tests need to do.
Depending from the tests he might even prescribe you medicine to treat you enlarged prostate.
