My 3 year old son got but by a bug in 2 spots on his head( I think they were bites) on Sunday evening I noticed the swelling. Sat evening we were outside and he was digging in my Inlaws garden near shrubs. they swelled up large and now one has scab but the other is a small hard pointy bump it feels like it s under his scalp. General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Fibroid (scar) lesions can form as a result of any trauma including a bug bite.

It can sometimes take weeks for the lesion to completely resolve.

The use of anti inflammatory pain mediation would help if it is uncomfortable for him.
This includes medications such as ibuprofen.

I hope this helps
