Suggest Treatment For Bump On Back

I had this bump coming up on my back. It kept getting redder & bigger. It look like it would break & did today. I squeezed it & got this white stuff (solid) out with blood. Now there s a hole & still leeking alittle blood. Is it a cyst or boil. I think a core came out too. I put Neosporin on it and bandaid on it. It is still sore & red.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
Based on the description, it appears that you had rupture of infected sebecious cyst.
Keep the wound open and clean. Rinse the area with mild antiseptic solution like Savlon twice a day.
You can continue to apply Neosporin cream or powder.
Since it is still inflamed, you need to take Tablet. Ibuprofen 400 mg twice daily after food for 5 days.
You need to take a course of antibiotic Tablet. Amoxacillin with Clavulenic acid twice a day for 5 days.
It should heal in about a week time.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
Wish you quick recovery.
