Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hello,
I think that you have some soft tissue injury by falling that object on your foot. Blueness can be due to accumulation of the blood in the tissue underneath the skin and it is not very serious. You can get an x ray to make sure that bones are normal though it is not must.
I will also like to suggest you hot water fomentation, Volitran ointment and compression bandage. Avoid prolong standing on affected foot. Keep it over pillow.
I hope these steps will help you. Let me know if there is any other followup questions. I will try my best to help you.
thanks
