Suggest Treatment For Bruises And Knee Pain After Injury
I hurt my knee about a year and a half ago. I fell off a horse and hit my knee off of a rock. It was xrayed and it was fine. It has constantly given me pain since then. I went back to the doctor about three months ago. He said i now have poor petella tracking and do physio. So i did the physio. Meanwhile through all this i have had a constant re appearing bruise on the inside of my right knee right where my knee cap ends. It feels swollen and like i have limited motion. Sometimes when i walk i feel pinching and it will give out on my occasionally.
I will advise to Rest the part and avoid any movements that produce pain. Apply ice or a cold pack to the painful area for 15 to 20 minutes, 4 times a day. Wrap the ice or cold pack in a towel. Till time you can take anti-inflammatory and antibiotic if infection is suspected.
If swelling and bruise is not reducing and giving pain while I will advise you to further investigate like MRI.
As per your symptoms you need to do physiotherapy and knee exercises to improve range of motion .
Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.
Wishing you good health.
Take care.
