my friends son had a strange bruise on his leg with a circle of red around it the next day a split appeared in the middle of the bruise and now 3 weeks later he has what looks like a deep blabk scab surrounded by red skin what do you think it could be- he is 14 and otherwise healthy

plz clean the wound properly with anti septic eg pyodine. go to the ER immediately to rule out any insect bite or serious pathological cause eg cutaneous anthrax.
