Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a bruise looking mark on my right hip, and sometimes it looks darker than other times . I used to do gymnastics and I got it then but i haven t in years and that s how it looks again. It doesn t hurt or itch but it does have little scabs like if I hit myself but I didn t . I been having it for a while and I want to get rid of it . What can I do ?
Hello and welcome to HCM, A bruise like lesion persisting from very long time is unlikely to be due to some injury. Hematoma or collection of blood leads to bruise formation, however, such bruise clears away after seven to ten days. The bruise which you have described seems to be a congenital mark. A clinical assessment of the lesion is required to assess the lesion. Management can be planned after clinical examination and diagnosis.
