Suggest Treatment For Bronchitis And Eye Infection
Hi, I've had bronchitis for the last 5 days and just when I thought I was getting better I woke up with an eye infection that looks like pinkeye and soreness in the eye/nose area. Is it all related? I've been on azithromicyn for just one day. Should I go to the ER or wait for my regular doctor to see me again tuesday.

HI
Greetings from Dr.Divakara.P Thanks for posting your query.
There is no need to go to ER. Since you have already been started on Azithromycin kindly continue it for 2 more days.
Your eye infection seems like Conjunctivitis. It could be due to allergy, viral or bacterial infection.
If it persists for more than 2 days then the chances of bacterial conjunctivitis is high and requires antibiotic eye drops . In that case you better consult your regular doctor.
Hope this information is useful to you. Any clarification feel free to ask.

Suggest Treatment For Bronchitis And Eye Infection
HI Greetings from Dr.Divakara.P Thanks for posting your query. There is no need to go to ER. Since you have already been started on Azithromycin kindly continue it for 2 more days. Your eye infection seems like Conjunctivitis. It could be due to allergy, viral or bacterial infection. Viral conjunctivitis will subside in 1-2 days , just keep washing your eyes 3-4 times a day. Even allergic conjunctivitis will subside on its own . If it persists for more than 2 days then the chances of bacterial conjunctivitis is high and requires antibiotic eye drops . In that case you better consult your regular doctor. Hope this information is useful to you. Any clarification feel free to ask.
