Suggest Treatment For Broken Fibula During Pregnancy

I m 34 weeks and 2 days pregnant. I broke the lower portion of my fibula on Sunday. I was told today that I won t see anyone in orthopedics until Jan 14, 2.5 weeks from when the break happened. I m currently in a temporary cast. This seems like a long time to be in a temporary cast and I m worried about having to deal with whether or not they re going to give me a cast or boot on Jan 14 or if I ll have to go back in while being so close to giving birth. Is the time frame on this temporary cast about right for most or does it seem long?

Relax mam there is nothing to worry about. Your fracture fibula will b treated by applying POP cast and rest with symptomatic pain treatment in about 2 months..take good care of yourself...all the best.
