Suggest Treatment For Breathing Problem After MRSA Pneumonia Treatment
I had MRSA pneaumonia in 2008, my lungs have never been the same. I suffer w breathing now. Don t know if it s fungus from the vakamycine r all the other mycine s they had me on for 17 days, or scar tissue. Is there any suggestions I can use naturally to be able to breathe again? The only prescription I am on is symbicort, & I only use it once a day!! I hate meds!! HELP!!!
Thanks for your question on HCM. I can understand your situation and problem. I advice you to consult pulmonologist and get done 1. CT thorax 2. PFT (pulmonary function test). Past history of pneumonia can cause fibrosis in lung due to healing. It can also cause post infectious bronchitis. So CT thorax is needed to rule out fibrosis. And PFT is needed to rule out bronchitis. In both cases symbicort is useful. But you should take it twice daily as its effect lasts for 10-12 hours. So twice a day dosing is needed. You should also enroll in pulmonary rehabilitation center where chest physiotherapy and deep breathing exercise are done. Also take adult pulmonary vaccines like pneumpcoccal and influenza to prevent future lung infections. So consult pulmonologist and discuss all these.
