General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI,
I understand your concern.
The symptoms you describe suggest sever chest infection/ bronchitis/ asthma/ some times certain heart conditions.So-
- Your husband needs a detailed physical examination & investigations before he could be suggested some medicines.
- Till you get an appointment of a physician.
- He will be more comfortable in propped up ( head & back raised up with a slanting position ).
- Let him have light , nourishing diet, Drink warm water
- he can be given Tab. Derriphylline ..one pill three times a day with the cough syrup he is taking.
Thanks
