I have a sinking feeling in my chest and I don t really know how to describe it. It s as if my heart is beating slower than normal. This has happened to me a lot before but it usually ends after 1 hour but this one has lasted the whole day. I am a female 5 feet 4 inches and a teenager
Hi welcome to HCM. I understand your query and concern. Bradycardia in your case needs good assessment to rule out sinus node dysfunction.Complete thyroid assessment is needed to know the associated dysfunction and needs external hormonal supplementation if needed. I advise you to have a baseline 2 dimensional echocardiography,ECG and lipid profile to assess the basic cardiac reserve of your heart.Restrict the intake of salt to less than 6g/day.Regular physical exercise in the form of brisk walk for 20 min a day for 5 days a week is pretty useful.Drugs like antihypertensives and antiarrhythmics will help.Reduce the inteke of fatty and fried food. One pomegranate will help to keep your heart at good pace without clot formation. Overall prognosis is good in your case.Consult a Cardiologist for further expert management.Post your further queries if any. Thank you.
