Suggest Treatment For Blurry Vision

I have a question about my husbands eye. We currently do not have insurance and won't for 2 more months. He is a union pipefitter and recently had a bad case of flash burn. It lasted nearly a week and went away. However, prior to that he began having trouble in his right eye. As time goes on his eye is getting worse. He said it has a constant haze and everything is blurry. He can read words with it any longer and when I'm across the room he said I am a blur. He is having trouble welding at work now because it is his dominant eye and cant see to weld. I was wondering what it is exactly that he has and is it correctable?
