Suggest Treatment For Blocked Nose Of A 8 Year Old

Hi My son is 8 years old and has a permanently blocked nose since I can remember. He can't breath through his nose and has trouble sleeping. He had his adroids and tonsils removed 12 months ago but this has not helped. He gets asthma and has quite severe allergies. We would are really frustrated at the lack of progress by doctors who just seem to refer us to other doctors with no results.

Hi...Thank you for consulting in Health Care magic. I understand your concern. I was wondering if it could be a septal deviation for which the corrective surgery can be done only after 15 years of age.

Regarding asthma, it is a dynamic disease and has its won ups and downs. I specialize in asthma and allergy and till date I have never promised any of my patients that I will cure it. I will only say that it can be controlled. You should understand the difference between a cure and a control. Don't think that I am too straight forward, But unless I spell it out right, you will not understand the dynamic nature of the disease in which allergy is a major component. The latest treatment for it is metered dose inhalers and consult your pediatrician regarding this.

Hope my answer was helpful for you. I am happy to help any time. Further clarifications and consultations on Health care magic are welcome. If you do not have any clarifications, you can close the discussion and rate the answer. Wish your kid good health.
