Suggest Treatment For Bladder Infection

Hi, I went to my urologist today and had a urine flow test as well as a catheter and a camera to take a look at my urethra as well as my bladder. I am a 49 year old male, and my doctor told me the wall of my bladder looks like the bladder wall of a man in his seventies. should I be concerned, he told me to continue with flomax and come back in 6 months?

Thanks for query .
Based on the facts that you have posted your Urologist has done endoscopic examination of your bladder (Cystocopy) for urinary complains and revealed thickening of bladder wall .

Thickening of bladder wall suggests obstruction to urine flow either due to Enlarged prostate or Bladder neck stenosis (Obstruction).

The flomax that you have been prescribed relaxes smooth muscles in bladder neck and prostate and helps to improve urine flow .

There is nothing to be worried about it .You need to take medication for 6 months and observe for improvement in your symptoms especially urine flow and need to repeat Cystoscopy after 6 months if required.
