Suggest Treatment For Bilateral Hydronephrosis During Pregnancy

Im 25 weeks, nd i have bilateral hydro at a moderate condition, in my previous pregnancy it went to sever in both kidneys which lead to an early induction. I saw a urologist yesterday and they are leaving the choice to me weather to have stents put in, or be put on narcotic medications for daily use until delivery. I cant decide what is going to be the safer option for me and the baby. What do you think is the safest?

Hi
Dr. Purushottam welcomes you to HCM virtual clinic.
I have gone through your query.
I think I have understood your concern, I will try to suggest you the best possible treatment options.
At your gestation of pregnancy it is likely to have pressure on ureters to cause you hydronephrosis, IF given a choice I will recommend you to go ahead for stenting on both sides. Always it will be far better and safer to put stents than to use narcotics, as they can have effects on baby.
I hope my answer helps you.
