Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern.

As per your complain and presentation of symptoms it is for sure that you have Tonsillitis secondary to bacterial or viral infection but the severe bad smell in mouth seems to be due to Tonsilloliths or Tonsil stones that are calcified structures present over the tonsils and are formed due to calcification of food debris and dust and they cause foul smell as well as infection of tonsils..
Nothing to worry, consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and in case of tonsil stones manual removal will be done as well as medication like antibiotics, anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen and warm saline gargles will be advised to you..
For preventing tonsil stone formation warm saline gargles, gargle after meals and limiting the intake of dairy products due to high calcium content has to be done..
You can also mask the bad smell by gargling with a mint flavoured mouthwash.
Chew sugarfree chewing gums for stimulating saliva flow which will further reduce debris deposition and incidence of stones.

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
