Suggest Treatment For Back Pain
I have pain since I woke up this morning in my left back just above the waist. No fever. It goes to my waist and wraps around ever so little. Cold seems to work better than heat. I am taking Advil. 2 at 11 ans 2 more at 4. Does not feel muscular. Would kidney pain come in that quickly? Do u think it is muscular? Thank you.

From history it suggests,
There might be having muscular spasm,
Having some urinary tract infection.
But as there is no h/o urinary problem it is likely of having muscular.
Take analgesic, muscle relaxant medicine for a day or two.
If problem persisted then go for routine urine check up to rule out UTI.
Take plenty of water.
Ok and take care.
