I would have suggested to a patient I would have had a chance to examine, and in whom I may have had ruled out other possibilities a prescription of proton pump inhibitors and sucralfate. The combination would need to be taken for sometime longer than what you have taken till there was a good relief. The medicine could then be tapered off slowly.
