Suggest Treatment For Back Bone Pain In A Diabetic

Hi Dr,      My name is ABDUL, My mother who is a Diabetic patient. Recently who got pain on back bone while bend or weight lift. We consulted local Dr. who told that pain come by bone weak or depreciation. Only cure this by operation . My question is we donot have any other option to cure without operation . she is diabetic we worry about that. Can you help. How to solve this problem. Thanks for asking.
Based on your query, my opinion is as follows.
1. Progressive pain could be due to osteoporosis or possible lumbar spondylosis.
2. Lumbar support belt could reduce pain. However, if she reduces her work and undergoes physiotherapy along with back exercises, situation will improve.
3. Surgery should be last resort. Meet an orthopaedic surgeon to assess for medical treatment of osteoporosis.
