My husband has been experiencing slight dizzy spells which last a few seconds. Also vision impairment for a minute or two! He is on blood pressure pills and also has had a mitral valve replacement twice, the last one being approx 15 years ago ? His heart goes into atrial fribrillation on and off! Does he need to increase his blood pressure pills?

hi atrial fibrillation with dizziness indicates that he may have recurrent AF with fast VENTRICULAR RATES, which hampers the blood flow to the brain,(dizziness and vision impairment) with low cardiac output states.
this can be due to the chronic annular changes or residual Mitral regurgitation, inspite of the replacement being done twice, & now 15 years the fitted valve may also start with problems.
more than the blood pressure control, heart rate control is very important. drugs like beta-blockers, or calcium channel blockers like verapamil, diltiazem will surely help in controlling the rate as well as moderate control of blood pressure.
please consult the treating cardiologist for the same, & adjustment of the drugs. all the best take care
