Suggest Treatment For Atopic Dermatitis

Hello doctor. My son is 7 months old. He is on lactogen 2 and wheat Apple cerelac and home made rice dal. He has got some rashes throughout the body before starting the solids. Doctor said it is atopic dermatitis. Using so many creams and some syrups but still rashes are itching him a lot. Is it something intolerance to lactogen and cerelac. How do I get my son free from these rashes. Please help me. Thanks in advance Dolly

Hi,
Atopic dermatitis is the most common condition affecting babies. It can be dealt with using proper moisturization practises. You need to understand that till puberty these moisturization practises should be continued as at puberty automatically oil production by skin increases and severity of atopic dermatitis decreases.
So finally make sure you moisturize your baby properly and rashes wont bother you much. Dont forget to visit your dermatologist regularly for follow up.
