Suggest Treatment For Anxiety And Depression

I am experiencing anxiety and depression. Last week my PCP has temporarily put me on 25mg Paxil and I am using Zolpidem to help me sleep. I feel somewhat urgent about my condition. I have called the office of Dr. Goldberg to see if he will see me but I await an answer. Thank you.

Hello thanks for asking from HCM

You have anxiety and depression. The primary care physician (PCP) has advised you to take Paroxetine and Zolpidem. Paroxetine is a SSRI drug and is a good anti anxiety and antidepressant drug. The drug also causes sedation so would also help in sleep in your case. Zolpidem is a drug of Z-drugs group. The drug helps in good sleep. As per my opinion the PCP has prescribed good drugs and these drugs will help in anxiety and depression. I would advise you to continue to take these drugs as per prescription till you get an appointment with your psychiatrist. These drugs will help in reducing the symptoms of anxiety and will improve sleep.
