Suggest Treatment For Anemia And Headache

I am anemic and trying to manage on my own with o.t.c. Feosol Ferrus Sulfate 1 tablet 2 X daily. I will not have a new G. P, until April 9, 2015. What type of specialist is best to help manage blood levels to see if I am in proper ranges and to help with other nutritional and supplemental needs as well as knowing what other test should be done. I have a myriad of other health problems as well and am unsure why my heart is pounding and I have severe headaches as well as feeling spacey and light headed. I get worried I am on wrong kind of iron or dosage.

I will advise you to check your hemoglobin level first. If anemia is present then it should be treated in a proper way. In your case, anemia is a reason behind headache. Anemia cause a lack of blood supply to other organs in body. More heat beat in severe anemia case is called palpitation.

Treatment is started according to level of iron. If iron is too low in range than intravenous route is selected than oral iron tablet under doctor's suggestion. Consult a physician for further treatment.
