Suggest Treatment For Anal Fissure

Hi, I am 32 year Old.I am suffering from Anal Fissure and have used DILTIGESIC ORGANOGEL (Diltiazem HCl 2% W/V Organogel) for a week, had to stop it as I had severe itching due to the application.Doctor then suggested NITROGESIC OINTMENT (Nitroglycerin Ointment 0.2% W/W), but this was causing severe head ache, hence I stopped the application as there was no pain.After 2 months I probelm has re-occurred. Please suggest

Hi,

You were on the right treatment has both of the mentioned medication at the first line drug for anal fissures, recurrent anal fissures are most commonly due to constipation so I would advise you to change your lifestyle like increase physical activity, take fibrous diet.

In severe cases surgical excision of the fissure is recommended.
