Suggest Treatment For An Injured Knee

Last Saturday I stepped awkwardly with my left knee, put weight on it and I could feel a bone go out of it s socket. It went back it when I took weight off of it. I called BCBS and have done what they suggested. I kepf off of it for 24 hours and iced it. The muscles in the area are tight but have gotten much better since Saturday. I can walk on it now, and go carefully up and down steps which I couldn t do the first day or so. On Wednesday I had a light massage done to the area. Is there anything else I should be doing? I need to bowl in a tournament a week from tomorrow.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query. Knee joint is most vulnerable joint in case of injury. From your history it can be most likely meniscal injury. A local examination by orthopedician will be helpful to rule out this. In case of moderate to severe meniscal injury you may need rest. If it is mild then you can go for playing by putting bandage on.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
I find this answer helpful
