Suggest Treatment For An Ear Infection

My four year old son is currently being treated for an ear infection and sinusitus. He s getting amoxcicillin two times a day, he s on day 7, he needs to take it for 10 days. He s so much better, his eyes aren t puffy anymore and his bloodshot eye is back to normal, he no longer complains of ear pain and he s back to his hyper, happy self, except when he wakes up from a nap. He naps from 1 to 3 and these past few days he s woken up with a slight fever, 100.5, and says he feels sick. I give him Tylenol and he eventually turns back into his normal self. I only have to give him one dose, after nap time, and he is fine until the next day after he wakes up from his nap. I know it s not just him being warm from mapping because I wait a good 30 minutes before giving him medicine and his fever remains the same. He s very sluggish and just wants to lay down :( he is not my normal Hunter baby...this fever thing has just been the past two days and it s just weird to me that bit happens at the same time everyday. It s not right after he takes his medicine, so I don t feel like its an allergic reaction. He wakes up in the morning feeling fine, so I can t imagine he s still real sick from this ear infection he s fighting off...I m just nervous, I suppose. Any ideas of what is going on would be very much appreciated! :)

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi welcome to HCM,
Although fever and discomfort may continue even after starting antibiotics, the child should get a little better every day...Since you telling its been 7 days.. i suggest you take him to a doctor and get a check up... hopefully nothing to worry...wish him a speedy recovery....
