Hello Shashi,

Thank you for asking at HCM.

I went through your history and would like to make suggestions for you as follows:

1. As your investigations like TLC, DC, ESR, Sputum, CT scan, Chest Xray are normal, I would suggest you spirometry with post-bronchodilator study. This will help to diagnose asthma.

2. If you have symptoms like headaches, facial heaviness, constant tricking in throat, recurrent need to clear throat, etc, I would think of chronic sinusitis and would suggest you to consult an ENT surgeon who will examine nose from inside and also may suggest you CT scan of sinuses.

3. If you have symptoms like burning in chest, nausea, feeling of fluid into mouth, especially after a heavy or spicy meal, I would think of GERD and suggest you an antacid for at least 4-6 weeks.

4. If you are a smoker or you are exposed to passive smoke, it may be reason for your cough. Likewise, if you are exposed to air pollution significantly, it may be cause of your cough. I would suggest you to use personal protective measures like mask while exposed to smokes/air pollution.

5. I would also like to review your other medications, some of which might be causing cough to you.

Hope above suggestions will be helpful to you.

Should you have any further query, please feel free to ask at HCM.

Wish you the best of the health ahead.

Thank you & Regards.
