Suggest Treatment For Acute Gastritis

Hello, I was diagnosed with acute gastritis based on my symptoms, and I was wondering what type of things were okay to eat. I ve looked up things online and I ve found many places that just contradict themselves, for example some cites say beans are okay, and others say they are not. Some cites say white bread is okay and others say whole grain is better and others so whole grain is bad. So I am completely confused.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of gastritis which could be due to viral or bacterial infection, acid reflux or peptic ulcer disease. It could be due to infection by H. Pylori bacteria. Need not to worry. You should take oral rehydrating solution. I would suggest you to take antacid medicines like ranitidine or pantoprazole. Visit gastroenterologist once and get it examined. Start treatment after proper examination. You should have lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. you should take plenty of fluids. Avoid intake of oily, fried and spicy food. Drink plenty of water. Avoid intake of large food at a time. You should take small meals and frequent meals. You should take proton pump inhibitors such as ondansetron. You should exercise daily and avoid intake of outside food.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
