i am 20 years old and i am having this acne problem since 3 years. i'v tried various home remedies for it but none of them actually works i feel. i consulted a dermatologist who prescribed me deriva-cms, but it makes the acne area too dry and itchy. i fear getting scars from it's use. i would like to get guidelines on how to use it and also would like to know about how does it work? thank you.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have acne on face since 3 years which is because skin pores becomes blocked and hormonal change at particular age and this condition is recurrent . Deriva-cms contain clindamycin and retinoid , retinoid sometimes cause dryness in some person . I would suggest you to wash your face with facewash containing benzoyl peroxide and then apply cream containing azelaic acid . Exfoliate your skin with non comedogenic exfoliant once a week to remove dead skin which can be the source of bacteria that cause infection . . If condition doesn't get better then consult dermatologist for proper examination . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics like minocyclin along with corticosteroid ointment . Also apply vitamin C serum for quick recovery .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
