Suggest Treatment For Acidity And Unwanted Weight Gain
i have had severe anxiety and stress last 1 yr and acidity issues as well. so i lost about 5-6 kgs. now my anxiety issues are resolved to a large extent but i am not gaining weight and my acidity issue is unresolved too. i have taken ranitidine for 2.5 months and domeperidone for about a month - but not very regularly. afraid of its side-effects. my tests have been negative - ESR is usually a bit high (at 18 last time i checked). i am wondering if i should take vit b complex capsules for a bit . . . have taken them in the past. thanks.
I would suggest you few measures that will be beneficial. Take capsule omeprazole 20 mg once daily empty stomach, before breakfast for a week.
Avoid spicy and oily food for few days till the symptoms are resolved. Avoid or reduce the intake of meat, dairy products, and add more fiber to your diet. Eat lots of salads, vegetables, fresh fruits. Avoid excess consumption of tea/ coffee/ hydrogenated drinks. Avoid smoking and alcohol, if any. Eat frequent small meals instead of heavy ones and do not starve. Take plenty of water. Eat light meals prepared under hygienic conditions. Avoid eating fast and talking while eating.
Regular exercise is very much essential. Brisk walk every day for 30 minutes in the morning and then slowly increase the dura if time permits. Follow this measures your symptoms should reduce. Anxiety and stress can be responsible for acidity and addressing them is very essential. hope this helps take care
