Suggest Treatment For Acid Reflux

I am suffering from acid reflux. Have tried all the basic treatments with some results, but I do not want to take pills forever. Still have acid coming up with a sore mouth. Take 40MG of Omeprazole twice a day and some antacid tablets. Have had upper and lower Gi look and everything looked normal. What can I do? YYYY@YYYY

It may be difficult to treat without medicines but the best way is a low fat diet, frequent small meals, no eating within 4 hr of bedtime, and try to maintain an ideal body weight. The low fat diet is very important along with less sick foods.. If you try decreasing your meds , go slowly as there may be acid rebound. Also , avoid NSAID's which can contribute to the problem.
