Suggest Treatment For Acid Reflux And Slow Digestion

Recently had a colonoscopy. It was clear. Was having stomach issues before the colonoscopy. Went to the Urgent care. Experiencing acid reflux, swollen abdomen, pain, occasional burning. Slow digestion. Sometimes have pain on left and right side. Tested negative for H Pylori. Taking Nexium going on 2 weeks also on Sucralfate for 2 weeks. What should I do. Averaging 1 to 2 meals a day. Miserable Gallbladder surgery 5 years ago.

Hi,
Thanks for writing your query.
After reading your post,I would suggest that you should continue with the medicines as prescribed by your doctor for at least 8-10 weeks. You can add Domperidone 30 mg once a day along with Nexium for relief from acid reflux.

Following precautions will be helpful ;-
1. Avoid being empty stomach for long periods.
2. Avoid spicy and oily foods.
3. Avoid self medications especially with pain killers and steroids.
4. Avoid smoking and alcohol, if any.
5. Drink lots of water daily.

I hope this is helpful to you.
Thanks.
